A vehicle detection loop is buried in the ground and detects the presence of vehicles.
Vehicle loops can be setup as either a 'free entry/exit loop, a safety loop or both. If setup as a free entry/exit loop, the gates will automatically open when the loop detects a vehicle. If setup as a safety loop, if the loops detects any vehicle it will prevent the gates from accidently closing.
Loops can also be fitted with timers so they are only active for certain times during the day. At all other times alternative access control methods would be required to gain access.
